About us
BlåLab is an independent theatre organisation and the work is lead by Niclas Malmcrona. Other boardmembers of BlåLab are Marie Persson Hedenius, dramaturg, and Felicia Moritz Malmcrona, producer. Together with Niclas Malmcrona they lead the work of BlåLab.
Niclas Malmcrona is a theatre producer with 20 years of experience from work within independent theatre companies, from marketing of theatres, with experience of organising international seminars, workshops and festivals. Since the start of the 90s he has been in the board of ASSITEJ Sweden (the Swedish section of the International Association of Theatre for Children and Young People) and was between 1999 and 2008 Secretary General of ASSITEJ International. As the Secretary General, Niclas has been organising meetings, seminares and workshops in cooperation with local organisers in over thirty countries all over the world. Within the frames of ASSITEJ Internationals Niclas also organised international children´s theatre festivals in Russia and Jordan.
Marie Persson Hedenius is an educated dramaturg at Dramatiska Institutet. She has worked as a dramaturg since 1990 in especially institutional theatres: Folkteatern in Gothenburg, Regionteatern Blekinge/Kronoberg, Uppsala stadsteater, Stockholms stadsteater etc. Between 1998 and 2000 Marie Persson Hedenius was headteacher in drama at Dramatiska Institutet. She has great experience working as a pedagogue and workshopleader both in Sweden and abroad and she has worked with lots of play development projects. At present date Marie Persson Hedenius works at Uppsala Stadsteater.
Felicia Moritz Malmcrona is educated as a producer of theatre at Dramatiska Institutet. Felicia Moritz Malmcrona has worked as a producer both in independent theatre companies and in institutional theatres (Riksteatern, Uppsala Stadsteater, Dramaten). During 2000-2002 Felicia Moritz Malmcrona was boardmember of Statens Kulturråd (the National Arts Council) and also in its advice committee to support independent theatre companies. At present Felicia Moritz Malmcrona works at Dramaten with particular responsibility for Unga Dramaten.
